5-star linebacker Owen Pappoe released his top group of three on Tuesday and had Clemson football in it. Where do the Tigers stand with the 2019 prospect?

5-star 2019 linebacker Owen Pappoe, of Grayson High School in Georgia, released his final three schools on Twitter last.

Pappoe had- in no particular order- Clemson, Georgia and Nebraska.

Analysis:

Pappoe is a very talented linebacker out of Georgia. He is extremely athletic and physical. He has a high football IQ and, in my opinion, would be a great fit in the Clemson football program.

As of right now, I would tend to think that he is a Georgia lean.

All signs point to the Bulldogs being the favorite to win his services and the Clemson football falling right after that.

He has been highly recruited by Brent Venables for the Tigers, as all linebackers, and is exactly what Venables would want in his scheme.

He’s also a guy that I think would be a force from day one.

Obviously, there’s always a learning curve, especially for linebackers, but I believe that he would be able to play valuable snaps before the end of his freshman season.

In my opinion, there’s not another linebacker like Owen Pappoe in the 2019 class. The Tigers will be looking to get at least one from that position in this cycle and you can guarantee that he’s at the top of their list.

It will be interesting to see how his recruitment shakes out over the next few months. I don’t expect a decision to be made any time soon but, as I said earlier, it will be come down to Georgia and Clemson, in my humble opinion.
