The Clemson football team will match up with ACC foe Georgia Tech on Saturday. The Yellow Jackets could have a few depth concerns on offensive line.
Clemson football fell to 6-1 after a loss to Syracuse on Friday the 13th.
It seems as if it’s been forever since the Tigers took the field and now, here we are, four days away from kickoff.
Clemson will be taking on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, who are having a solid season themselves.
The Yellow Jackets are currently 4-2, but both losses have come by just one point to Tennessee to open the season and ACC Coastal-leading Miami a couple of weeks ago.
It seems, however, that Georgia Tech may have some injury trouble heading into the Clemson football game.
Yellow Jacket starting right tackle Jake Stickler left the Wake Forest game last week and did not return, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
It’s unclear to this point if he will return. Paul Johnson had only five experienced offensive linemen to play with.
Thoughts:
The Yellow Jackets are taking a few hits on their offensive line. The depth is slowly diminishing, but there’s still plenty of bodies for Paul Johnson.
Especially with the type of blocking that Georgia Tech does.
At this point, I wouldn’t expect this injury, even if Stickler can’t go on Saturday, to make a huge difference.
For the most part, I’d expect Clemson football’s defensive line to be able to create some pressure no matter who they’re going against.
