Clemson football’s 34-7 victory over Boston College sounds more impressive than it actually was. Here’s how each position graded out versus the Eagles.

Clemson fell victim to the “trap” game against Boston College. The Tigers were coming off of a victory over a top 25 opponent in Louisville and headed to face the 13th ranked Virginia Tech Hokies the following week.

The focus clearly wasn’t there against the Eagles, who gave Clemson all they could handle. The game was deadlocked at 7 going into the fourth quarter, before the Tigers rattled off 27 unanswered points.

Here’s the positional grades, starting on the offensive side of the ball:

Quarterback: C

Kelly Bryant turned in his worst performance of the year in this one. It didn’t help that Clemson’s offensive line struggled as well, however, Bryant turned the ball over multiple times. The timing between him and the Tigers’ receivers just seemed off. Bryant finished the day, 17 for 26 with 140 yards passing and two interceptions.

While he has come far as a passer, he still has improvement to make. Consistency is his biggest issue. There are times when he makes a beautiful throw, only to turn around and have a bad miss.
