The Clemson football team will host the Boston College Eagles on Saturday. Here are some bold predictions for the Tigers as they take the field.
The Clemson football team will host the Boston College Eagles in Death Valley on Saturday.
Boston College comes into the game 1-2 overall with losses to Notre Dame and Wake Forest.
The Tigers have opened their season with a three-game winning streak and are looking to keep the momentum going as they get into the heart of ACC play.
Here are our bold predictions for Clemson football against Boston College.
- Kelly Bryant goes over 100 yards rushing.
I know this may not seem like a bold prediction, but as good as Kelly Bryant has been on the ground, he’s yet to go over 100 yards.
I think this is the week he gets that done.
- The freshmen WR have breakout games.
We’ve seen spurts of both Tee Higgins and Amari Rodgers since they’ve been on campus. Both players have been on the field in critical situations and have made some great plays.
This is the week that they have a breakout game.
Neither wide receiver to this point has scored a touchdown. I think that all changes against Boston College.
Clemson football will be in the end zone early and often on Saturday. That should open up the door for the two freshmen to be heavily involved.
- Tavien Feaster returns a kick for a TD
Now, here’s something interesting to think about. Feaster and freshman Travis Etienne are now the two kick off returners.
I believe you could see Tavien Feaster, even though he may only get one chance, return a kick for a touchdown. At the very least, he will break off a few big runs and, probably open one up for a TD.
- The defense pitches a shutout
The Clemson football defense has been dominant through three games this season. They have yet to shut a team out, however.
That could come this Saturday.
Boston College’s offense is not very capable of putting up a lot of points and I believe the Tigers should be able to take advantage of that.

It will be up to the second and third stringers to preserve the shutout, but it certainly can be done.
