Top two teams

2) Virginia Tech (same spot)

Record: 2-0

Recent game: defeated Delaware 27-0

The Hokies showed no signs of a second-game letdown after their win over West Virginia. While not thoroughly dominating vs. FCS school Delaware, VT managed to limit their mistakes, turning the ball over only once and totaling only two penalties during the game. Tech’s defense led the way, amassing 4 sacks and 12 tackles for loss.

Next game: at East Carolina

1) Clemson (same spot)

Record: 2-0

Recent game: Defeated #13 Auburn 14-6

There may be questions about the Tigers’ offense after Saturday night, but no one will doubt the defense. Clemson sacked Auburn QB Jarrett Stidham a whopping 11 times and allowed only 117 yards of total offense. Kelly Bryant was efficient and managed to get Clemson’s two touchdowns himself on the ground. The Tigers stay atop the ACC Power Rankings after week 2.

Next game: at #14 Louisville
