The Clemson football team will host the Auburn Tigers tonight. Here’s a tasty recipe for you as you head into the stadium for a full day of tailgating.

Do you want to get away from the “ordinary” recipes for your Clemson football tailgate?

Are you looking for something that just might be good enough to win on Stein vs. Food in the Tiger Tailgate show?

We have some ideas for you that just might put you atop the heap.

Here is our Clemson football tailgating recipe, Auburn edition.

Hawaiian Sliders, via KingsHawaiian.com:

"Ingredients24Slices of deli honey ham6Slices of swiss cheese, cut into fourths1/3 cupMayonnaise1 tablespoonPoppy seeds1 1/2 tablespoonsDijon mustard1/2 cupButter melted1 tablespoonOnion Powder1/2 teaspoonWorcestershire sauce2 packages (12 count)KING’S HAWAIIAN Original Hawaiian Sweet Dinner Rolls PreparationStep 1Cut rolls in half and spread mayo onto 1 side of the rolls. Place a slice or two of ham and slice of swiss cheese in roll. Replace the top of the rolls and bunch them closely together into a baking dish.Step 2In a medium bowl, whisk together poppy seeds, dijon mustard, melted butter, onion powder and worcestershire sauce.Step 3Pour sauce over the rolls, just covering the tops. Cover with foil and let sit for 10 minutes.Step 4Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted. Uncover and cook for additional 2 minutes until tops are slightly browned and crisp. Serve warm."

The Hawaiian sliders are made delicious through the sauce you pour over the rolls and the fact that you’re using sweet Hawaiian bread.

Hot or cold, these things are sure to leave a great impression. I’d suggest adding some bacon on to the original recipe for flavor and it gives a crunchy appeal to complete the taste.

If you don’t have time, the poppy seeds aren’t necessarily needed. Just take time to make the sauce and you’ll have a meal that can last all day.

Now, if you wanted to get a little crazy, there are some other options for Tiger fans that want to go above and beyond.

Jerk Pork Tenderloin sliders with Caribbean slaw on a Hawaiian role. That just sounds delicious. You’d have to put the time and effort in ahead of time to fixing the pork loin, but definitely a great choice.

Everyone loves Buffalo sliders. Now, when buffalo chicken meets Hawaiian rolls, that just makes for something out of this world.

I’d suggest that you try these different recipes out over the next few weeks, especially if you’re having trouble finding something to fix or if you don’t want to do one of the “tailgating regulars” such as burgers, hotdogs, BBQ, and more.
