With College Football Playoff implications on the line, here are five players to keep an eye on in Clemson football’s matchup with Auburn.
Both Clemson and Auburn faced opponents that were clearly over-matched in week one. As such, we really have no idea what to expect from either team coming into their contest.
Clemson appears to have another top-flight defense, however, there are still a few uncertainties on the offensive side of the ball. Kelly Bryant was impressive in his debut for the Tigers, yet, that was against a pitiful Kent State defense. Auburn will put Bryant’s ability as a passer to the test.
Similar to the Tigers, Auburn trots out an inexperienced starter at quarterback. Baylor transfer, Jarrett Stidham is looking to provide Gus Malzahn’s smash-mouth offense with a vertical passing attack.
With Deondre Francois’ season ending knee injury, Auburn appears to be the toughest opponent left on Clemson’s schedule. Should Dabo’s Tigers get through this week unscathed, their remaining schedule is very favorable. Here are the five players that will help decide this contest.
