FSU QB Deondre Francois out for season: 3 Things it means for Clemson football
1. It gives Clemson football a decided advantage over FSU
Florida State has yet to name their backup quarterback.
The Seminoles, most likely, will go with freshman James Blackman, but there’s also veteran J.J. Cosentino, and fellow true-freshman Bailey Hockman.
I’d expect the decision to come later this week, but either way it’s clear Clemson football has a decided advantage over Florida State now: Home Field advantage, to be exact.
Now, I know what you’re thinking.
Clemson already had home field advantage. They did, but what was the equalizer for FSU?
The answer was quarterback Deondre Francois.
The Seminoles will no longer have him. That means no matter who they play at QB, Clemson football will have an advantage going into the matchup.
If Kelly Bryant can give the Tigers anything from the quarterback spot, and we will find out this weekend against Auburn, Clemson is going to be the favorite coming into this game.
Francois had his questions, but now it’s clear Clemson is the favorite in the Atlantic.
The Seminoles’ offensive line was questionable at best against Alabama and I just don’t know how any of those three quarterbacks are going to be able to do anything with those guys up front.
