Secondary: A

Obviously, Clemson’s secondary had few opportunities to showcase their talent against Kent State, but, they played well nonetheless.

The Tigers gave up just one reception against the Golden Flashes, which is clearly impressive. That being said, it’s too early to tell just how talented this group is. Kent State’s offensive weapons are not nearly as talented or athletic as Auburn’s.

On paper, Clemson looks impressive at both corner and safety. They are as long and physical as they’ve ever been under Dabo Swinney. First-time starter, Tanner Muse flashed his closing speed and physicality in run support. I think he will be an All-ACC performer this season.

It’ll be interesting to see how the Tigers’ fair against Jarrett Stidham and Auburn’s explosive offense next week. It’s still early, but, Stidham appears to be the most advanced passer Gus Malzahn has had during his time at Auburn.
