ESPN’s College GameDay has officially announced its’ location for week two of the season. Clemson football fans will not be happy with the result.

ESPN’s College GameDay has officially announced its’ location for week two of the College Football season.

The famous pregame show has been making its’ rounds throughout the College Football world for over ___ years.

College GameDay announced, via its’ Twitter account, that it will be in Columbus, Ohio to see the Ohio State Buckeyes host the Oklahoma Sooners.

The matchup was chosen over Clemson football’s game with the Auburn Tigers next Saturday.

You can see why this game would have so much luster after being such a barnburner a year ago (The Buckeyes won 45-24).

As far as headlines, I’d go with “A battle of two teams Clemson has beaten like a drum.”

In all honesty, though, this is no surprise. ESPN has had this game penciled in on its’ schedule for College GameDay since it was announced.

All the Executives had to do was wait and make sure that both teams won in Week 1.

After they did that, they went ahead with the announcement.

Clemson’s matchup with Auburn was probably second on the list, but it’s clear that the media still loves the whole “Buckeye-Sooner” names even if neither team is all that great.

I believe Ohio State is the beneficiary of being in a bad conference and I think Oklahoma will lose 2+ games before this season is over. Maybe these two teams will surprise me, but I believe looking back at the games at the end of the season will show that Clemson-Auburn was the more important game in the big scheme of things.

Clemson will still have a shot at College GameDay coming to Death Valley in November when the Tigers host FSU, who lost to Alabama in the season-opener on Saturday.
