Analysis:

Clemson football came out and did exactly what they needed to do. The Tigers jumped on top 21-0 early in the first quarter and then Dabo Swinney and Co. were able to begin rotating in guys.

The Tigers played nearly everyone on the active roster and did a great job rotating people in. We got to see all three quarterbacks, all nine scholarship wide receivers, and all four scholarship running backs on offense.

Defensively, we saw all three rotations of the defensive line, secondary, and linebackers. It’s clear that the defense is extremely deep and has the ability to be dominant this season.

I was pretty impressed with Kelly Bryant at quarterback. He only played a little over a half and still threw for over 200 yards and would have rushed for over 100 yards if the coaching staff had wanted him to.

It’s clear the offense is going to be built around his dual-threat ability. I’d expect to see him run the ball close to 15 times against Auburn, if not more.

There’s plenty of talent to go around and what I liked most about Bryant was that he didn’t force anything. Instead, he let his playmakers make plays.
