It wouldn’t be football season without a sea of humorous signs lining the backs of the College GameDay crew. Here’s the best that we saw from week one.

There is nothing like waking up on a Saturday morning to the smell of freshly cooked bacon and College GameDay’s infamous theme song. It’s crazy how those words, “Yea we’re coming…” can instantly turn any grump to an energetic morning person.

Desmond, Rece, Lee and Kirk have become a part of the college football culture. One of the most underrated aspects of each College GameDay show is the signs that the fans bring. It seems like every year, the signs get more creative. Leave it up to sleep deprived college students to mastermind new ways to insult opponents.

Week one’s GameDay signs did not disappoint. With heavyweights, Florida State and Alabama set to duel tonight there were plenty of fans screaming “Roll Tide” and Tomahawk chops.

Here are the best that we saw.

These signs capture what is great about college football. There is nothing like a college football fans. The unwavering school spirit and trash talk cannot be replicated by any other sporting event in the world.

Entering the first week of the 2017 regular season, that passion is as strong as ever. As we make our way through the season and chaos ensues, the signs will only get better. It’s important to remember that these signs are made in good fun. They aren’t meant to be taken seriously.
