The Clemson football team will host Kent State to open the 2017 regular season. Here is all of the information you need to stay on top of today’s action.

The reigning National Champions welcome the Kent State Golden Flashes to Death Valley for their 2017 home opener. This will be the first ever matchup between the two programs.

The Tigers enter the year with a host of first-time starters, from Kelly Bryant to Tre’ Lamar. With all of the turnover that Clemson experienced, many expect them to take a step back this season. Today’s matchup with Kent State will either put those concerns to rest, or confirm them.

Here is all the information you need to watch the Tigers take on the Golden Flashes.

As we discussed earlier in the week, the weather is going to be near perfect when the Tigers take the field. There is little chance of rain and it’s not supposed to be overwhelmingly hot.

If everything goes as planned, Clemson will walk away with a convincing victory today. Kent State’s offense has their hands full with the Tigers elite front seven.

In order to pull off an upset, the underdog must create explosive plays, not only for points, but, also to gain momentum. Kent State was unable to manufacture chunk plays in 2016 and I don’t expect that to change against Clemson’s stingy defense.
