Clemson football, led by quarterback Kelly Bryant, dominated Kent State in the season opener. The Tigers will now turn their attention to Auburn.

Clemson football coach Dabo Swinney was all smiles at the end of the season opener on Saturday.

The Tigers defeated Kent State 56-3 to improve to 1-0 on the young season and it was complete domination from start to finish.

One of the biggest questions coming into the game was what the quarterback situation would look like. Quarterback Kelly Bryant showed Tiger fans just what he was capable of doing in a little over a half of play.

Bryant finished the day 16-of-22 for 236 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. He also had 7 carries for 77 yards and a touchdown.

Clemson football got to play basically everyone on the roster and had a total of 13 guys make a catch and seven guys rush the ball on offense.

Travis Etienne led all rushers with eight carries for 81 yards and a touchdown. Tavien Feaster had six carries for 69 yards and a touchdown, while C.J. Fuller had seven carries for 51 yards and two touchdowns.

The Tigers finished with 652 total yards on offense.

Defensively, Clemson allowed Kent State to gain 120 total yards and held the Golden Flashes to just three points. Kent State was held to just five first downs.
