Saturday, October 28th: vs. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

Talk about a tough spread to pick.

There is no telling how Georgia Tech will perform this season after a 9-4 outing and a fifth place finish in the ACC Coastal last year.

Personally, I believe that the Yellow Jackets are one of the favorites to win the Coastal this season. They will breaking in a new quarterback in to run that option, but they return B-back Dedrick Mills, who is just a monster.

Paul Johnson is really excited about what he has in the backfield and, if the Yellow Jackets can stay healthy, they should be able to contend with the likes of Miami and Virginia Tech for the Coastal Division championship.

That being said, I firmly believe that there are two things to keep in mind with this particular matchup:

  1. Georgia Tech just doesn’t perform well at Clemson in recent history.
  2. Brent Venables seems to have that Yellow Jacket offense figured out.

Clemson football will win this game and it will, most likely, be by double-figures. I think the Tigers get out to an early lead and that just doesn’t bode well for Georgia Tech, but you never know.

This could end up being a field goal game or it could be a four touchdown game. I have a feeling it will be somewhere in the middle.

Spread: Clemson -14.5
