Saturday, October 7th: vs. Wake Forest Demon Deacons

If the Tigers can survive September with only one loss, I think they have set themselves up with a great chance to make a run at the College Football Playoff for a third-consecutive season.

Wake Forest loses several key players and will have to break in some new offensive linemen into their system.

They were very good defensively last season at creating turnovers and, as a matter of fact, won a bowl game.

This season, I’d expect them to take a little step back. They will be competing with Boston College for the last spot in the ACC Atlantic, in my opinion, and this just feels like the game that the offense catches fire.

The Vegas spread will probably be about four points less than this if I had to guess, but I just have a feeling about this game.

The Tigers will be returning home to play an opponent that they are much better than. I think this is the game that the offense kicks into full-gear and they very well may put up 60 before it’s all said and done.

I’m not saying that the offense won’t score a lot of points or be good against the teams in September, but I think this is the game they transform into what we like to call “midseason form.”

Spread: Clemson -30.5
