2017 Clemson Football Schedule: Predicting a Spread for every game
Saturday, September 23rd: vs. Boston College Eagles
Talk about a change in opponents.
After two-straight weeks of facing top-15 caliber opponents, Clemson football will come back home to face the Boston College Eagles.
These aren’t the Boston College Eagles of old when Matt Ryan was running the show. This Eagle team isn’t expected to be much improved from last season, where they finished 7-6 overall with just two wins in conference.
Boston College is getting better, however. They did win their last two games, including a bowl victory over Maryland and they are very excited about redshirt freshman quarterback Anthony Brown at quarterback. He provides a dual-threat ability that will be perfect to run in Scott Loeffler’s offense, assuming he wins the job.
Defensive end Harold Landry is back after leading the nation in sacks with 16.5 last season and they will have a strong front-seven.
But the talent and depth is just not there. Clemson is just on another level.
The Tigers also get this one at home and I’d expect things to go south pretty quickly for the Eagles, especially if Clemson loses to Louisville the weekend before.
Spread: Clemson -26.5
