Saturday, November 18th: vs. The Citadel Bulldogs

The Citadel will come into this game fully ready to go. It will not be a cakewalk by any means and they will put up a good fight.

However, as the second half comes around and depth starts to play a factor, Clemson football will begin to pull away. This is by no means to disrespect The Citadel.

I have all the respect in the world for Brent Thompson and the program that they have built down there in the low country of South Carolina. The Citadel has put up a fight with several FBS opponents and has even beaten a major power-five team in the recent past. [Just in case you forgot, here’s the highlights.]

But, Clemson is not South Carolina.

The Bulldogs will keep it close for a while and will put up a valiant effort, but at the end of the day, Clemson will win the game by quite a few.

I don’t even know if Vegas will put a spread on this game, but if they did, I’d expect it to favor Clemson by 30+. It very well may be closer than that, but that is where the folks in Vegas would start the line.

The Tigers should have a nice Senior Day and Military Appreciation Day while The Citadel collects a nice pay check.

Spread: Clemson -35.5
