2017 Clemson Football Schedule: Predicting a Spread for every game
Saturday, November 4th: @ N.C. State Wolfpack
Clemson football fans, hear my words.
Beware N.C. State.
The Wolfpack may have the most incompetent Head Coach in Dave Doeren ever, but they are set up to make a one year run at at least knocking off one of the big three teams in the ACC Atlantic.
N.C. State returns four senior starters on the defensive line, one of the best in the country. Bradley Chubb at defensive end is, in my opinion, a first round pick. On the inside, N.C. State features two really defensive tackles in B.J. Hill and Justin Jones.
They also have an experienced secondary and some solid linebackers.
On the offensive side of the ball, quarterback Ryan Finley (a grad-transfer from Boise State) will command the team with some talented guys around him, including an experienced offensive line, and play-makers Nyheim Hines and tight end Jaylen Samuels.
I don’t think N.C. State quite has the depth that Clemson has built, but you can bet that they will be pumped up for a November tilt with the defending National Champions. Especially if the Tigers are still in the College Football Playoff hunt come this time, which I believe they will be.
This is one of those games that you just have to survive and advance. You know that the Wolfpack will be physical and will come out firing on all cylinders. The key will be keeping your composure and hitting them right back.
I think Clemson gets out of there with a win, but it won’t be pretty.
Spread: Clemson -7.5
