Clemson Football Fall Camp: 5 Burning Questions
1. How dominant will this front-seven going to be for Clemson football?
Here is your starting lineup for Clemson’s front-seven in 2017:
DE- Clelin Ferrell (So*, 265)
DT- Christian Wilkins (Jr, 297)
DT- Dexter Lawrence (So, 337)
DE – Austin Bryant (Jr, 266)
SLB – Dorian O’Daniel (Sr*, 224)
MLB – Tre Lamar (So, 250)
WLB – Kendall Joseph (Jr*, 229)
There’s also Shaq Smith, Judah and J.D. Davis at linebacker, and Nyles Pinckney, Albert Huggins, and Xavier Kelly, among others on the defensive line.
My point is simply this: This may end up being the best front-seven Clemson football has seen in over 30 years.
The Tigers will be nasty and it’s amazing how when you can apply a lot of pressure on a quarterback, the secondary’s job becomes a lot easier.
I believe this Clemson defense very well may be better than the 2014 defense that finished first in total defense. They have an opportunity to be special and it all starts up front.

During fall camp, I want to see just how dominant they can be going against a very talented offensive line on the other side of the ball.
