The Clemson football program will have three future Tigers competing at Nike’s Opening finals in Beaverton, Oregon this week. Here is a rundown of the prospects to keep an eye on.

Trevor Lawrence:

National Rank: 1

Positional Rank: 1

Trevor Lawrence has the least to prove out of anybody at the Opening, he is clearly deserving of his ranking. That being said, he is under pressure to perform for the sake of losing his top ranking to fellow quarterback prospect Justin Fields. It’s not that Lawrence did anything wrong, rather Fields is also an elite talent.

More from RTR: Trevor Lawrence a better high school prospect than Deshaun Watson?

Xavier Thomas:

National Rank: 3

Positional Rank: 1

Xavier Thomas was one of the few underclassmen present at last years Opening Finals. Coming into the 2017 Opening finals, Thomas is one of the most heralded prospects due to his rare blend of speed and power off of the edge.

Kyler McMichael:

National Rank: 105

Positional Rank: 13

Clemson’s most recent commit, Kyler McMichael is one of the most dynamic athletes in the country. At 6-foot, 195 pounds McMichael is capable of playing anywhere in the secondary, heck he could even line up at running back and perform well. He should have a great showing this week in both testing and positional drills.

While these three are the only Clemson commits on hand, there are a handful of Tigers targets competing in the event as well. Prospects such as, Justyn Ross, Jordyn Adams and Tyson Campbell will put their talents to the test this week.
