Clemson football: Tigers open as 25 point favorites vs. Kent State
The Clemson football program will open up the 2017 season vs. the Kent State Golden Flashes. Oddshark recently released their predicted score of the game and the Tigers are favored by 27.5 points.

The Tigers are coming off of arguably the most successful season in program history, which cumulated in a National Championship victory over perennial power, Alabama. This contest with Kent State is the perfect tune up for the 2017 season.

Kent State’s 2016 season on the other hand, was disastrous. The Golden Flashes limped to a 3-9 finish. Playing Clemson gives Kent State the opportunity to play in front of a national audience, which will help with recruiting. They also have the opportunity to gain momentum for the rest of the 2017 season, should they play Clemson close.
Clemson must come into their contest with Kent State focused as they face-off with Auburn the following week. Not only is Auburn stiff competition, but, Clemson has a quarterback race to settle. It will be tough for the Tigers to defeat Auburn if they are stagnant on offense.
