Tyreese Ingram-
Jaron Blossomgame has worked his butt off to earn a first round selection but it could still elude him.
Take a second and ponder what he has done during the two NBA Combines that he participated in. Last week, he led all scorers with 34 points in the two scrimmages. In the scrimmages last year, he was ninth with 27 points and fourth in rebounds with 15.
He decided to return to school for team goals and a chance to improve his draft stock. Well, the team goals weren’t met, but the graduate still has hope in achieving an individual goal. He will get drafted, but I don’t think it will be in the first round. Teams are so enthralled with the early entrants that Blossomgame will be an early second round selection.
Clemson Tigers Football
His college and NBA Combine bios scream first round to me. He deserves better and any team needs to re-evaluate their observations if they can honestly say that Duke’s Harry Giles is a better player. Giles averaged 3.9 points and 3.8 rebounds compared to Blossomgame’s 17.7 and 6.3 rebounds. Yes, folks! Giles is projected to be drafted before him.
Clemson fans will hope for the best for a talented player who worked hard to get a chance at the NBA. A dream will be realized in June and a second round selection won’t stop Jaron Blossomgame from enjoying his day.
Cole Little-
Statistically, Jaron Blossomgame experienced a bit of a down season after opting to return for his senior campaign. However, he was one of the few consistent bright spots for the Clemson Tigers in a season filled with sporadic play. While his draft stock may have been hindered a little by his decision to return this past season, Blossomgame is still widely considered to be an early-second round prospect. A great athlete with a tremendous upside, Blossomgame resembles a young Tracy McGrady, minus the impeccable shooting touch. That is Blossomgame’s biggest area for improvement, as his shooting consistency could use some serious work, but if his ascension as a Tiger is any indication, Blossomgame will be able to accomplish that and much, much more as he transitions to the NBA.

It appears that Jaron Blossomgame may fall into the second round of the NBA draft and while that is not ideal, it certainly isn’t a problem. Blossomgame may be a late selection in the draft, but I believe he has staying power in the NBA. With his elite athleticism and ability to rebound, Blossomgame has the potential to turn into a solid role player down the road.
During his time at Clemson Blossomgame averaged 17.7 points and 6.3 rebounds, which shows that he is capable of scoring the ball if need be. I wouldn’t expect Blossomgame to score that much in the NBA, but he will be a strong presence on the boards and on defense.
