Clemson Football Recruiting: Tigers on the verge of landing 4-star Georgia prospect
4-star athlete, Kyler McMichael of Greater Atlanta Christian School in Norcross Georgia recently released his top six schools and Dabo Swinney’s Clemson Tigers made the cut.

The Clemson football program has recruited exceptionally well in the state of Georgia under Dabo Swinney. While the Tigers haven’t signed a vast number of recruits from the peach state, they rarely miss on targets from Georgia. Deshaun Watson, Vic Beasley and Wayne Gallman can attest to that.
Swinney and his staff are at it again in the 2018 recruiting class. Kyler McMichael’s top six includes, Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia and Tennessee, however the Tigers are perceived as the leader in the clubhouse.

Clemson has received two crystal ball predictions for the 6-foot, 190 pound prospect out of Georgia since the month of April. Pulling McMichael out of Georgia would be yet another win for Clemson over the in-state Georgia Bulldogs. Dabo Swinney and company bested Kirby Smart and the Dawgs for the services of 5-star quarterback prospect Trevor Lawrence, the No.1 player in the state of Georgia, back in December.
McMichael has the ability to play either running back or defensive back in college, though I think he projects best as a corner. Clemson defensive coordinator, Brent Venables would be able to move McMichael all over the field because of his versatility as an athlete.
Kipp Adams of 247sports recently reported that McMichael does in fact intend to play defensive back at the next level. Adams stated, “The physical athlete intends to play cornerback in college.”
Clemson will benefit from whatever position McMichael plans to play as they are looking to sign both a running back and multiple cornerbacks in the 2018 recruiting class.
We will be keeping a close eye on McMichael’s recruitment over the summer as Adams went on to state, “Look for a decision from McMichael to come before the season starts.” With roughly three months before the start of fall camp, Clemson could be gaining another Georgia star sooner than later.
