Clemson Football Recruiting: Braden Galloway breakdown
In the months leading up to National Signing Day I am going to be taking a look at each of the members of Clemson’s 2018 recruiting class as it continues to grow. Today’s edition features tight end commit, Braden Galloway.

Strengths:
- Length- Galloway’s extremely wide catch radius is going to make him a matchup nightmare for opposing linebackers and defensive backs.
- Blocking- On film, Galloway is very physical which I didn’t expect to see from a basketball player.
- Soft hands- Galloway is a natural pass catcher, he doesn’t fight the ball.
- Potential- Being as though Galloway recently started playing football, he has tremendous upside. He is able to dominate the high school scene off of shear athleticism, once he develops physically and learns how to run crisp routes he will be a All-ACC caliber player.
Weakness:
Galloway is still a raw prospect, he will likely need time to develop in the weight room before he is ready to contribute. Also, Galloway is used to blocking defensive backs in space, he will need to learn how to block defensive lineman and linebackers in college.
Outlook:
Braden Galloway may have the most upside out of any recruit in Clemson’s 2018 recruiting class. He has all of the physical tools to be an impact player at the next level. After losing Jordan Leggett to the NFL, Clemson has a hole to fill at tight end.
The Tigers currently have four tight ends on roster in D.J. Greenlee, Milan Richard, Garrett Williams, and J.C. Chalk. When he steps on campus in the fall of 2018, Braden Galloway is immediately going to be the most physically gifted tight end on the team. For Galloway to make an impact early he must dedicate himself to the weight room and learning Clemson’s playbook.
