Lineage

Over the past decade, Clemson has steadily built an impressive lineage of defensive lineman. From Gaines Adams to Kevin Dodd, the Tigers have routinely turned out prototypical NFL talent.

Newly appointed defensive line coach, Todd Bates will surely stress the rich tradition that Clemson has along the defensive line to Jeffries. With his talent, there is no doubt that Jeffries would carry on the torch at Clemson.

The Tigers can not only point to the success of the past, but, they can point to the present as well. Clemson returns an absurd amount of talent and experience along the defensive line in 2017. I fully expect the Tigers to have the best front seven in the country next season. Should Jeffries come to Clemson, he will have the opportunity to play alongside guys like Dexter Lawrence, Albert Huggins, Xavier Kelly and the No. 1 defensive end prospect in the 2018 recruiting class, Xavier Thomas.

Iron sharpens iron and Clemson is smelting more than any program in the country at the moment. The Tigers are in play for Jeffries and another talented defensive lineman, five-star defensive end, KJ Henry.
