ESPN’s Heather Dinich recently tweeted the following statement made by Clemson co-offensive coordinator Jeff Scott, “Our first practice was probably the best first day of spring practice we’ve had in the eight years I’ve been at Clemson.”
That statement is great news for all in and around the Clemson Tigers football program. After losing the production of guys like Deshaun Watson, Mike Williams, Artavis Scott and Wayne Gallman, there were serious concerns about the Tigers ability to bounce back in 2017.

For Scott to make that statement having coached some of the most talented teams Clemson has ever had shows the potential the Tigers have in 2017. When spring practice opened up for Clemson, Dabo Swinney announced that Quarterback, Kelly Bryant is “clearly No. 1 and there’s no doubt about that.” in terms of spring practice.
Bryant appears to be making the most of his opportunity to play. In a report by David Hood of Tigernet.com co-offensive coordinator Tony Elliot stated, “Really, really like the confidence that Kelly has come out with and he seems to be the most consistent day in day out.”
Should Kelly find some consistency throwing the football, he has the athletic ability to be lethal in Clemson’s high-powered offense.
