Cade Stewart (OT) Central, South Carolina:

Cade Stewart did not hold scholarship offers from any of the other major division one programs in the South. That being said, Clemson is no stranger to bringing in under recruited players. Dabo Swinney and his staff have earned the trust of those in and outside of the program when it comes to recruiting.

247sports had Stewart ranked as the 164th offensive tackle prospect in the country and the 2030th overall prospect in the country.

Best Attributes:

Cade Stewart has the mark of all great Clemson lineman, toughness. Stewart is not the most nimble offensive lineman, that being said, he brings the wood when he hits you. Stewart takes good angles when he pulls and he uses his hands well in pass protection.

Recruiting offensive lineman is not an exact science. At the end of the day there are not 6’6 human beings growing on trees. For that reason coaches will offer an prospect knowing that he needs work fundamentally, because of the fact that he has the requisite size to compete at the division one level.

Expectations:

With the depth that the Clemson football program already has in place along the offensive line, I do not expect Cade Stewart to play much in 2017. Be that as it may, Stewart will provide the Tigers with quality depth, should anyone get injured. Stewart is tough and physical at the point of attack, as such I expect him to be ready to play should his number get called.
