Tre Lamar

Tre Lamar is not just ready for the College Football level, he very well may end up stealing a starting position.

Lamar probably had the best spring of any of the early enrollees and, as a matter of fact, ended up leading his team in tackles (10) in the Clemson football spring game.

Lamar was placed behind Kendall Joseph at the middle linebacker position and that is certainly where he will stay for the season opener, but as the season progresses I wouldn’t be shocked if Tre Lamar begins to see more and more of the snaps.

He is extremely strong and fast for his age and has the size to be a force right away. A lot of times it takes linebackers longer to develop into College level players than other positions, but that is not the case for Tre Lamar.

I’m excited to see him take the field because it is a new brand of linebacker for Clemson football.

Finally, Brent Venables is getting the guys he wants in at that position and it’s only going to get better from here.

Speaking of talented freshmen linebackers, the next is no exception.

Next: Shaq Smith
