The talk of Clemson football practice thus far has been the impressiveness of several freshmen on the defensive side of the ball.

Every single day after Clemson football practice this week, there has been talk and praise about freshmen.

The Tiger freshmen have stepped up and made a name for themselves- at least in shorts and shirts- in the first few practices thus far.

The Clemson football coaching staff has mentioned several different names throughout this first week of camp and while it could just be encouragement for the young athletes, I believe there are several that could make an impact right away this season.

Let’s take a look at several freshmen defenders to keep your eye on and their chances of being awarded playing time heading into the season opener against Auburn on September 3rd.
