With one game remaining, we start to look at ACC Tournament seeding for Clemson basketball. Here is every scenario for the Tigers heading into Saturday’s game.

With one game remaining in the 2015-16 Clemson basketball season, Tiger fans will be looking ahead to seeing where they may end up in the ACC Tournament. If you’re a Clemson basketball fan, you want the Tigers to pick up at least a win or two and make some noise before heading to the NIT Tournament.

If Clemson was to make it to the ACC Championship Game, they may put themselves on the bubble for the NCAA Tournament, but that would be a long shot at this point in time. However, if the Tigers found a way to win the ACC Tournament, they would lock up an automatic berth to the Big Dance.

A lot of the ACC Tournament has to do with seeding. There are certain teams you’d like to avoid playing and others that you think you match up with rather well.

Here is the entire list of scenarios that Clemson basketball can come away with, courtesy of The News & Observer.

What Does It Mean?

I know, that is a lot to take in, so I will try to simplify it for you. If the Tigers win Saturday, they lock up the number-7 seed unless A LOT of other things happen. If the Tigers win Saturday and Virginia Tech loses to Miami, there will be a good chance Clemson basketball ends up as the sixth seed.

If the Tigers get the sixth seed, they will play the winner of the 11th and 14th seed. We know that Boston College will be the 14th seed heading into the tournament and either Florida State or Georgia Tech will hold the 11 seed.

I’d much rather have the sixth seed than the seventh seed. It will be interesting to see how things play out, but as long as Clemson basketball can come away with a win tomorrow, they will be in good shape to try and make a run going forward.
