Clemson Football will beat Alabama. There, I said it.

2. Stop pretending this is David vs Goliath

To be honest, this is the heart of my argument. Alabama is very good. I would not be shocked at all if they ended up winning the game, but THIS IS NOT DAVID vs. GOLIATH. These are two Goliaths going up against each other and the winner will be who wants it more.

I’m just so sick of hearing how Clemson football will need a “miracle” to beat Alabama or how the Tigers will have to play their “A” game to beat the Tide.

I heard a radio show host in Alabama say Clemson has NO CHANCE at beating the Crimson Tide. They went on to say that this is like the Texas A&M game in which the Crimson Tide will hang 41 without even trying and will shut down Clemson’s weak ACC offense. Really?

Okay, I know you’re Alabama and have won all these championships, but do you really think Clemson is no threat to you? We hear analysts all the time say how Alabama is so talented at every position and that “their third stringers have NFL talent.” While I believe Alabama is good, you’re not unbeatable. As a matter of fact, you’re very beatable.

The Crimson Tide were trailing to Tennessee at home with less than six minutes to go. Tennessee. As a matter of fact, the Volunteers made several plays on the line of scrimmage and were valiant in the trenches, they just came up a bit short.

But yet Alabama is unbeatable.

Take the SEC Championship game, for instance, Alabama won that game 29-15 over a Gator team that got dominated by Michigan. To be honest with you, if Florida has any type of talent at quarterback, they beat Alabama that day. The Crimson Tide only won by two touchdowns and it was because the Gators are incapable of scoring. (P.S.-It’s kind of hard to win a game when you can’t score).

And before you say it’s because of Alabama’s vaunted defense: Florida only ended up scoring two points against Florida State and, oh yeah, nine against Vanderbilt.

The more and more I watch the film and get ready for this game, the less immortal Alabama seems. We could go on, but I think you get my point.
