Rahshaun Smith

The first and most important prospect for the Tigers to pick up is five-star linebacker Rahshaun Smith. Smith has narrowed his list down to just three schools: Clemson, Auburn, and LSU. It was said that he was deciding between Clemson and Maryland for the longest time, but after the recent staff changes at Maryland, he decided to narrow the Terps out of the mix for his services.

Smith has a rare combination of speed and strength that most don’t see out of a high school linebacker. He has also been trained by the folks of IMG Academy, who has world-class high school coaches. He will be able to come in and play right away at whichever school he decides because of his ability and talent.

Personally, I think Clemson has a great chance to pick up a commitment from him during the Under Armour All-American game on January 2.

The great thing about Smith, also, is that he is an early-enrollee. This means he will be able to run through spring practice and go through workouts with the team ahead of time, which will only increase his ability to get on the field. Look for Smith to choose the Tigers two weeks from now and become the second-highest rated commit in the 2016 Clemson football recruiting class.
