Defensive End

Gaines Adams

The first defensive end selected for the all-time Clemson-football dream team is none other than Gaines Adams. As a junior and senior, Gaines Adams was dominant for the Tigers. He ended up with 59 total tackles and 21 sacks on the way to becoming the highest drafted player of Clemson football history as the number-four prospect, taken by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Unfortunately, Adams died of an enlarged heart back in 2010 when he was beginning to get playing time with the Chicago Bears.

Vic Beasley

The second defensive end on the list has to be Vic Beasley. Now, many would argue that Beasley should be an outside linebacker and we should select another defensive end, but I believe in the college game, Vic Beasley was one of the most dominant defensive ends in Clemson football history.

He was extremely athletic and beat some of the best offensive tackles in all of College Football on his way to being named a two-time first-team All-American and the all-time Clemson football sack leader.

Beasley finished as a finalist for several prestigious awards and did a great job as a pass-rusher for Clemson football.
