We are inching closer and closer to the first College Football Playoff poll being released. Let’s take a look at the resumes of the teams still involved in the Playoff hunt.
We are just one week away from the first College Football Playoff poll being released on November 3rd. The member of the committee are already and have been looking at resumes of teams that are hoping to find their way into the College Football Playoff.
Yesterday, we gave you a total of seven undefeated teams that still have a chance and seven one-loss teams that will still have a chance to play their way into the College Football Playoff before it is all said and done.
To be fair, there are some teams, such as Memphis, Houston, an Temple that were left out. I don’t want to have the discussion of a Group of Five team making the playoff. It’s not going to happen unless all the one-loss and undefeated teams in the Power Five Conferences lose two games, or at least several of them do.
I love what Memphis has to offer and they walked the dog with Ole Miss, but for now they are not in the College Football Playoff discussion. Now, if a few things happen in the coming weeks, maybe the Tigers could play themselves into the talks, but for now they are not in.
With this group of 14 teams that still have a “realistic” shot, I think it’s best to look at their resumes, who they have next, and try to predict what they will do in the final part of the season in order to see who ends up in the College Football Playoff.
With that being said, let’s take a look at the resumes of these teams and what they need to do in order to be in the College Football Playoff. At the end we have my top-four and my predicted top-four at the end of the season.
