4. The depth is starting to be developed
This is the main key for the rest of the season. We know what Clemson has in starters, especially on the defensive side of the ball. What you want to see now is the second and third team guys stepping up and making plays.
You want to see guys like Dane Rogers, Roderick Byers, and Richard Yeargin on the defensive line. You want to see guys like Kendall Joseph and Dorian O’Daniel stepping up at the linebacker spots. You want to see Adrian Baker, Jadar Johnson, Ryan Carter, and Mark Fields step up in the secondary.
This is what, hopefully, you can use Boston College, Miami, and N.C. State for. Georgia Tech helped build some quality depth and getting the second string guys in against these three teams will be huge for the team.
The depth is starting to be built and this is what will carry the Tigers through an eight game stretch without a bye. Having quality depth is a must for any team to contend for a national championship and the Tigers are beginning to develop that.
