10. Deshaun Watson hasn’t played his best game as of yet.

Reason number-10 is that preseason Heisman Trophy contender Deshaun Watson has yet to play his best game. In spite of the fact Watson hasn’t played his best game, here is his current statistics: 1,466 yards passing, 11 touchdowns to five interceptions with a completion rate of 69%. He is completing almost 70% of his passes and has played some tough games.

It was almost impossible for him to throw the ball deep versus Notre Dame. Against Louisville, the team relied on the run-game a bit more. He is going to get more and more Georgia Tech-like numbers as the season progresses. What does that mean? Games where he is throwing for 265 yards and two to three touchdowns, but there will be one game where he just looks unbeatable.

I have no clue what game that will come in. It may be this week. It may be against in-state foe South Carolina, but I suspect there is a game where Deshaun Watson shows his Superman-like ability and puts up video game numbers.

That being said, he has been a great game manager so far. He is only going to get better as the season goes forward and don’t forget he had rust to shake off to begin the season, as well as the fact he is only a true-sophomore. Deshaun Watson is only going to get better and he is on track to throw for over 2,000 yards and 25 touchdowns and that’s just if he keeps playing as he has been playing.

So, for all of you questioning his ability, Deshaun Watson is one of the biggest reasons you have a chance to make it to the College Football Playoff. The fact he hasn’t played his best game yet is just icing on the cake.
