Greg Huegel must kick a field goal

Greg Huegel did great with the opportunities he was given last week. He went 6/6 on extra points and did superb in kick off duties. What I want to see this week is him attempt a couple of field goals. Yes, he can hit extra points and that’s great, but I want to see him kick a 35-yard field goal early in the game when there is pressure. If he is going to be the starter for Louisville, you want to instill in him some confidence at home before he goes and kicks in front of a hostile crowd on national television.

Hopefully, he can get more than one field goal attempt, but at least let him make one so that he can start to get some confidence going forward. The last thing you want is for his first field goal attempt to be with 0:02 left at Louisville trailing by 3. I want him to have every opportunity this week to prove what he can do and get into a rhythm before the Thursday night tilt in Louisville, Kentucky.
