The Clemson football team will host App State Saturday for what many consider to be a “dress rehearsal” before Louisville. Check out the keys to game here.

The Clemson football team will host Appalachian State Saturday in a game many consider to be a dress rehearsal to get the Tigers ready for Louisville. I, personally, do not want to look at it that way because our friends in Vegas have a different idea of what this game will be. Clemson is only a 17-point favorite at home and while I believe they will cover that spread, there is reason the line has dropped four points since it first opened.

Appalachian State is a solid Sun Belt team and will get a chance to keep this game close, especially if the Tigers make any mistakes or cannot come out and play to their highest level. I’m excited to watch this game and I hope the Clemson fans will get behind their Tigers and create a good atmosphere for App State as they arrive in Death Valley. They are quietly confident about this game and the last thing you want is to give them another reason to be confident.

This game is important and, in many ways, may be one of the most important games on the Tigers’ schedule. Why? This is the last chance Clemson football will have to to get inexperienced guys on the field in non-pressure situations. There may be a blowout later in the season, but that is already in mid-season form where we know who will be in the rotation. With that being said, let’s take a look at the keys to the game for Clemson vs App State this week.
