B.J. Goodson
B.J. Goodson stepped up big at the linebacker position. Goodson finished second on the team in tackles, totaling eight on the day. He played hard and was instrumental in stopping the Wofford option-attack. He and Ben Boulware did a great job snuffing out the run and making a play on the ball.
When reviewing the film, however, I saw Goodson in on almost every play. Where the ball was he wasn’t far away. He did a great job reading the option, playing his assignments, and overall leading the defense as the team’s middle linebacker. He is a great leader for the Clemson defense and played a strong game Saturday to begin his senior campaign.
