Bold Prediction #2: Clemson wins the ACC

This may not be completely bold prediction, but in light of everything that has happened, many Tiger fans have begun to wonder about Clemson’s chances this season. A lot of analysts are starting to favor Florida State after the losses Clemson has suffered during the off season. These were names like Ebenezer Ogundeko, Isaiah Battle, Ammon Lakip, Korie Rogers, Korrin Wiggins, and D.J. Reader.

  • A lengthy list such as that is cause for concern for any team, but it makes Clemson lack depth at several key positions. However, the Tigers will overcome the adversity and find ways to win games. I’ll be honest, at some point this season Clemson will win an “ugly game.” There will be a team the Tigers should beat by 28 points and they only end up winning by 10. It will happen, but Clemson will come out victorious.

All of that is summed up with an ACC Championship, the Tigers’ first since 2011. This will be huge for bringing in more recruits and bringing more respect to the program. Clemson will have to overcome games against Florida State and Georgia Tech at home, but I believe those are both manageable games and as long as the Tigers beat Florida State in November, they will be in good shape to win the ACC Atlantic.
