Georgia Bulldogs

By the time Clemson plays Auburn twice and we found another opponent to match up with, you’d be ready to see the Bulldogs again. This is a rivalry that should happen more often than it has and both programs are spiraling upward, especially Clemson.

Back in the ’80’s, this was a every year event and both Bulldog and Tiger fans alike enjoyed these games. For the most part, Georgia dominated the series, as the Bulldogs have an overall lead of 42-18-4 in the rivalry, but Clemson fans would love nothing more than to get another chance to travel down to Athens and pick up a win between the hedges.

Who knows if Mark Richt will still be there the next time these two faced (although he probably will), but it would still be a good match up with lots of trash-talking and banter from both sides. I don’t expect these two programs to come back together any time in the recent future (i.e. 2017), but I could see them coming together in the distant future to get the rivalry going again.

Only time will tell and I’m sure Tiger fans are sick of the Bulldogs right now, but I can’t wait for them to schedule UGA again so that Clemson will get another chance to hold bragging rights in what used to be the second biggest rivalry for Clemson.

Anybody remember this game??
