 Ohio State Buckeyes

There were talks about two years ago of Clemson and Ohio State facing off in a home-and-home series or meeting halfway to play a “Season Kickoff” type of game. Those talks subsided, however, when Clemson put Auburn on the schedule and the Tigers and Buckeyes battled in the Orange Bowl.

Since the Orange Bowl, both programs have seen continued success as Clemson football has become one of the most consistent programs in the country and Ohio State went onto win the National Championship this season, as well as be legitimate contenders for this season, as well.

By the time these two faced off, this could be a match up of epic proportions in which Clemson and Ohio State could be inside the top-10, if not top-5 in the country. This game would also help boost the idea that both of these teams have “cupcake schedules” each and every year playing in the Big-10 and the ACC.

I like this match up and should Urban Meyer still be the coach over at Ohio State, there would be nothing sweeter than knocking off one of the most elite programs in the country and gaining national recognition as a result.
