No. 3 Pittsburgh Panthers
The Pittsburgh Panthers may actually be among the more talented teams in the Coastal division. Isaac Bennett and James Connor each finished last year near the top of the ACC in rushing yards last year and the Panthers return four starters along the offensive line. The Panthers also return an All-American caliber receiver in Tyler Boyd.
The Panthers do have some shoes to fill on defense, including ACC Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald, but Pittsburgh’s ability to compete for a division title will largely depend on sophomore quarterback Chad Voytik. If he is a competent passer, the Panthers will be able to win a lot of games with offense, particularly with a relatively friendly schedule that includes cross-division games with Syracuse and Boston College.
