Clemson football 2020 target Julian Fleming has narrowed his list of schools. The Tigers are one of the finalists, according to the talent prospect.

5-star wide receiver Julian Fleming has narrowed down his list of schools and Clemson football made the cut.

Fleming, the No. 1 wide receiver in the 2020 class, announced that he has narrowed his decision to six schools.

Fleming’s finalists include Clemson, Ohio State, Penn State, Alabama, Georgia and Oregon.

Analysis:

Fleming is a talented wide receiver that would fit in well with the Clemson football athletes already on campus.

He has great hands, superb speed and elite athleticism. What you’ll notice about this guy compared to a lot of wide receivers in high school, though, is that he is thick. He’s not just a tall fast athlete who can catch a football.

This is a player that is physical and able to come in and compete right away. He gets open in different ways and, really, is unlike any receiver that the Tigers currently have on their roster. Fleming is a player that could develop into a beast in a system like Clemson’s. He can do it all and there’s no doubting that wherever he signs, the school will be getting a boost in its wide receiver corp.

The main competition in his recruitment, as of now, would probably be Penn State and Ohio State. It’s going to be tough for the Tigers to compete with those schools, considering how close to home they are for Fleming.

The key for Clemson football will be getting him on campus sooner rather than later and then getting him to come back. I expect to see Fleming take a visit down to Clemson during the spring or summer and then follow that up with an official visit of some sort this fall.
