Clemson head football coach, Dabo Swinney and former Tigers great, Steve Fuller will be representing the university in the 2017 Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl golf challenge.

See the full list of participants here.

The Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl golf tournament has been dominated by Georgia Tech’s Paul Johnson over the past six years. Johnson and his partner Jon Barry have won the challenge, four out of the past six years.

The ACC as a whole has owned the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Challenge; a coach from the ACC has won the challenge 7 of the past 10 years. The next closest conference is the SEC with three.

Dabo Swinney and Steve Fuller have a lot to live up to as Steve Spurrier and former Gamecocks great, Sterling Sharpe won the challenge back-to-back in 2008 and 2009.

The Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Challenge website describes the event as the following.

"A charity golf tournament featuring FBS head coaches and celebrities competing for their share of more than half a million dollars in scholarship winnings."

Not only does it give FBS coaches an opportunity to test their metal against each other, but, it’s also for a great cause.

Swinney may give Georgia Tech’s Paul Johnson a run for his money as he is an avid golfer, playing at both Augusta National and Quail Hollow according to Discover South Carolina. Later on in that same interview with Discover South Carolina, Swinney was asked about his handicap to which he replied, “realistically I’m a 16-18.”

Hopefully Swinney can bring yet another win home for the Clemson Tigers while raising money in the process.
