The Clemson basketball team fell short against the Duke Blue Devils in the second round of the ACC tournament. The Tigers 79-72 loss not only ends the season for the Tigers, but, it most likely ends Clemson’s hopes at an NCAA tournament bid. Here’s the most interesting reactions to Clemson’s loss.

It appears that most Clemson fans share the same sentiment. The Tigers came oh-so-close, yet could not get over the hump this season. The loss to Duke today was yet another example of Clemson’s inability to come up with a win in a close ball game.

These are two very fair assessments. At the end of the day Brad Brownell has a job to do and he has failed to get the Tigers to the NCAA tournament. Also, Clemson lacked the focus from start to finish to put the Blue Devils away.

All-in-all this was an average season; Clemson will likely earn an NIT bid, but, that is merely a consolation prize for not being good enough to make the actual tournament.
