Tiger Nation—there’s a familiar roar echoing through Death Valley, and it’s the sound of Clemson’s offense shifting back into high gear. Dabo Swinney didn’t hold back in praising his staff after practice, especially with Chad Morris back in the fold dialing up the tempo.
"Chad’s done a great job... staff's been great," Dabo said, and you could feel the energy pulsing through the spring workouts.
"It was a new offense, and it’s fast, and it's a lot of stuff going on," Dabo admitted.
He pointed to new addition CJ Johnson as a key piece of this puzzle, along with the growth of the quarterback room under this high-octane philosophy. Even when the "Ferraris" were in the garage, the staff kept the pressure on.
"Trying to create a little pressure on some of these guys through call outs," Dabo said, referring to his mic'd up coaching style.
The "enthusiasm" with this group hasn't "waned a little bit from day one," and Dabo credits the coaching for that fire. From the "skills and drills" being operated at a high level to the "transformation phase" they are about to enter, the Tigers are being coached for "prime time."
Dabo’s message? The work is just beginning, but the blueprint is in the right hands!
