Once again, the college football world tips its cap to the magic of Death Valley. With EA Sports College Football 27 just around the corner, the franchise dropped its new list of the most intimidating home-field environments in the country. Sure, Memorial Stadium slipped a couple spots, but let’s be real: there’s no place in America like Clemson on a Saturday. Death Valley is still right there among the true giants of the sport, and every Tiger fan knows the roar in the Valley is second to none.

EA’s latest rankings put Memorial Stadium at number nine in the nation, down three spots from last year. Clemson is the only team outside the SEC and Big Ten to crack the top 17, which just proves what Tiger fans have known for years: Death Valley is a nightmare for opponents.

Ever since EA Sports brought back the series, they’ve had to keep adjusting just how much of a beast Death Valley really is. Clemson started at number 12 in the 2024 game, then rocketed up to number 6 the next year. Now, even with a slight dip, the Tigers are still right in the thick of the national spotlight. Any gamer brave enough to bring their squad into Death Valley is going to get a taste of what real teams face: a wall of noise and chaos that rattles even the best.

But it’s not just about defending the Valley. The new EA rankings lay out a gauntlet for Clemson’s 2026 schedule that’ll test the Tigers from the jump. On September 5, Clemson heads to Baton Rouge to take on LSU in their own Death Valley, the place EA just named the toughest stadium in the country. Talk about a heavyweight fight to kick off the season.

And the road only gets tougher from there. Clemson will have to march into enemy territory against bitter rivals and ACC heavyweights, with South Carolina’s Williams-Brice Stadium sitting at number 16 and Florida State’s Doak Campbell at 21. Whether you’re playing on your console or suiting up in real life, this schedule is a gauntlet that’ll show what the Tigers are made of. Tiger fans won’t have to wait long to get their hands on the action—College Football 27 drops July 9, 2026.
