After finishing the 2024 season 44-16 and ranked No. 9 in the country, Clemson baseball began the 2025 season No. 15 in the D1Baseball rankings.

Everyone was expecting a great season from the Tigers, especially after a second straight successful season under second-year head coach Erik Bakich, who came over from Michigan ahead of the 2023 campaign. Now, to start the 2025 season, he's 26-5 with a 6-3 mark in ACC play with 21 regular-season games left in the conference.

In each of his first two seasons with the Tigers, Bakich finished 20-10 in league play and he's on pace to earn that same mark in 2025. After missing the NCAA Tournament in 2021 and 2022 (two of the three missed tournaments since 1987 for the Tigers), Clemson looks to be back near the top of the ACC thanks to Bakich and it continues to prove itself.

Clemson has jumped to No. 6 in the D1Baseball rankings after a 26-5 start to the season after a solid weekend which included a road series victory over Georgia Tech.

Georgia Tech comes in at No. 25 which means that this was a quality series win for the Tigers, beating a Top 25 team in 2-of-3 games despite being out-scored thanks to an 18-2 loss right in the middle of it.

Clemson is the second-highest ranked team in the ACC behind Florida State (4) and if they can get better results from their starting pitching, the Tigers could be serious national title favorites.

Bakich has this team playing really well right now and it looks to be on pace to have its best overall season since he took over in 2023. It's time to make a national title push.
